Hi , my name is Patti Melora and I represent FACES (Families for Autistic Children Education & Support) is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and support of children with Autism and their families. The mission is centered on early intervention, education, advocacy, and support for families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder in the South Jersey area. Hammonton has recently joined FACES and has started their own chapter.
As a way to increase awareness to this disorder that effects 1 in 150 children, on April 18, 2010 we will be having our 4th Annual Bubbles for Autism Day. The highlight of the day is our Motorcycle Run For Autism 2010. Last year we had over 200 riders. We know this year we can do even better. The purpose of this E-mail is to serve as a HOLD THIS DATE notification. Final details are now being confirmed and I will be sending everyone a complete detailed memo shortly.
As a mother of a child with Autism, I can not express what an event like this does for Autism Awareness, and how much joy the children receive from this event. I hope to see some if not all of your riders that day.
Registration will be the day of the run. Entry fee includes lunch. Once you have decided to attend, please e-mail me the number from your group that will attend. We want to make sure that we have enough homemade food for all
